This place is pleasant and has a welcoming vibe. The staff are nice and the food is made promptly. I had the Masala Dosa, it was delicious and filling. There is no front as such to the cafe. Instead there is a sign directing you inside.

Delicious home-cooked thali in central London... I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot discovering this gem of a cafe so close to Kings Cross. The staff were welcoming and friendly - a lovely bonus. My family loved this place and we are already planning a return visit

Didn’t know of this place but was searching for a vegetarian breakfast near King’s Cross and found this hidden gem! Breakfast was reasonably priced and so nice! Could not complain and the pakoras were the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to come back to London and go again :-)

Loved it. Casual atmosphere with incredible flavoursome food. I tried the dosa wrap and it was so delicious. I would love to come back and try the roti wrap and all the other items on the menu. Staff are very kind and welcoming - service was efficient and I can tell the food is made with care. The nice high ceiling makes it feel very pleasant to sit and enjoy. I wish I had tried the juices as the combinations all sound very good. They are only open during the day which is a shame but well worth it if you're able to.

A cosy & casual place with great vibes and good Indian veggie food. Ideal stop straight out of St Pancras station. Service is fast & super slimy (as seen one of the photos) and all dishes are simple yet tasty.

As an Indian I want food which has a lot of flavour and spice. Thenga was exactly that. Great food. Served with a smile on the face and nice relaxed atmosphere. No complaints

I have given 5 stars to all given what it is. So here is the breakdown Food: The food is classic home fare. No pomp and show. Mildly spicy, if you have Indian taste, it might appear on 'bland' side. However, it is pure in its form, without colors or additives. It's how mother would have made, just a little less flavorful or spicy. Still good. Service: Personal attention and caring owners. I arrived after closing and the owner still made me a dish.Brought me water and gave me free sides. Atmosphere: It's a basic cafeteria style, like a school canteen. The cafe is located within a YMCA. Not for a romantic date but who knows your date might be happy coming here. Bottom line, if you are looking for home cooked, wholesome food, definitely go here. If you are looking for spicy flavorful dish, ask the chef to make it that way.

I visited Thenga Cafe with a friend today and fell in love with the place. As a vegan, I’m always looking for a good place to eat and I’m so glad I’ve found Thenga Cafe. It really feels like home and as if you’re in a cozy kitchen. I absolutely enjoyed the vegan food and chai. I highly recommend Thenga Cafe if you’re looking for a delicious, hearty and homely meal.
